This is another edition of Q&A with Bailey & Vince!
This week's topic will feature our wedding! Thank you to everyone that sent us a question for this Q & A!
When did you guys get married?
This Tuesday was our two year anniversary! I never expected to be a June bride (I'm more of a fall girl), but everything we wanted in our wedding (the church, band, reception, etc.) all fell into place on June 28 :)
It rained on our wedding day, but everything still went so smoothly! Since all of the festivities were indoors, the most important thing to plan around were our photos. Thankfully our photographer did a fantastic job finding new spots for us that kept us out of the rain.
Where did you get married?
We got married at a church here in Kansas City and held our reception at Webster House. It's actually a restaurant in the Crossroads area, but we got to close it down for a night of great food, good drinks and TONS of dancing!
The best part about having your reception at a restaurant? All of the linens, staff, food (and even the cake!) are one package deal! Once we settled on Webster House for our venue, so many details fell right into place, which was such a relief.
I love cake, tell me about the cake!
Oh, let me tell you about this cake :)
We had a beautiful layer cake with vanilla butter cream frosting. We opted for simple vanilla and chocolate layers. The chocolate layer was my absolute favorite! Soooooo rich and creamy. We had a fresh top layer made for our one year anniversary last year. It was just as delicious as I remembered!
Who was your photographer?
Our amazing photographers were Joel and Kara Carter! They were recommended to us by my cousin, who also used them for her wedding. The Carters are an amazing team (as you can see from the photos in this post) and we are so thankful that they could capture some amazing moments from the best day of our lives!
What is was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was that my face literally hurt the next day from so much smiling. And not because of all the pictures we took! I kept smiling all night because of how happy I was that entire day (even with all the rain). It was an amazing thing to see so many friends and family coming together to celebrate Vince and me. Friends from every corner of our lives were dancing together (actually together!) on the dance floor having the best time! Seeing all of our guests so happy made me immensely happy :)
My favorite thing about our wedding was that at the end of our truly wonderful day, Bailey and I were married! Similar to Bailey, I remember how happy we were to be able to share such an important day with our family and friends. I remember seeing people from throughout our lives there to wish us well and thinking how encouraging it was to have their support embarking on our journey through life together. I also remember a quiet moment I had to myself before the ceremony reflecting on my life up to that point and being excited for all of the adventures to come.
