On January 21st I attended the sister Women's March held in Washington Square Park here in Kansas City.
I went for a lot of reasons. I wanted to be there with the hundreds of men and women who spent their day standing up for what they believe in and want to protect. I wanted to be there to support my dear friends in other cities marching at the very same time. I wanted to be there because I was curious.
So I grabbed my camera and headed out the door.

I thank the thousands that gathered in Kansas City, and across the world, for standing up for their beliefs. I may not have agreed with everyone there, but I recognize their right to make their voices peacefully heard.
I only hope that this march isn't the end. Let it be the inspiration that drives forward progress for this country that I love.
