Say hello to the newest newlyweds, Bree & Jake!
These two lovebirds first met at work and bonded over their jobs’ mediocrity. Bree jokes that they found love in a hopeless place ;) The two were engaged in Mexico during a perfect beach sunset! We captured their engagement photos last summer!
What I love about Bree & Jake is how effortlessly comfortable they are with each other. Just being around them, you can tell that their personalities fit perfectly together and complement each other in the best ways. Throughout their wedding planning process, Bree was the detail person while Jake focused on big picture matters. And together they created the most perfect wedding day!
The day began at the Embassy Suites in Olathe where Bree and her bridesmaids were primped and polished in their comfy gray robes. After a first look with her bridesmaids and her father, Bree shared a first look with her beau at their church before the ceremony. After the ceremony we headed to the WWI Memorial for wedding party photos! (And let me tell you you’re going to want to see the moments captured on the party bus!) From there we headed back south for the reception. Bree & Jake’s friends and family sure know how to party and Short Circuit Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night long!
Check out my favorite images from the day, along with more behind the scenes stories:
Bree’s dress was timeless perfection with a few modern details that made it POP! IT was perfect for her :)
A mother helping her daughter into her wedding gown is one of those moments during a wedding day that is extra special for mothers (just like a father looks forward to his dance with his daughter). I wanted Bree and her mom to have a chance to enjoy this moment in relative privacy so I asked all of the bridesmaids to step into the adjoining room. After Bree put on her finishing touches, I surprised the bridesmaids with their own first look with the bride! This is such a special, personal moment for all of the bridesmaids before the craziness of the day :)
Bree’s veil was her “something borrowed” from her sister! I loved this moment they had together putting the finished touches on Bree’s bridal look before the ceremony :)
Legit one of the most epic party bus rides of my career!
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Rhodes!!
Your wedding was the absolute BEST party and I know your lives together will be filled with just as much
family, laughter, and fun!
