Stormy & Keegan are two of the luckiest lovebirds I know. They’re lucky they found such perfect soulmates in each other. They’re lucky to have such wonderful, caring families, and they’re lucky that we had great weather on their February wedding day!
Stormy & Keegan’s February 2 wedding day was filled with love, laughter, games, singing, and dancing, and I loved getting to capture every minute of it! Their mornings started out doing what they love most: Stormy spent her morning tasting chocolates and sipping champagne with her closest girlfriends while Keegan spent his playing video games with his buds.
For their first look, we met at the WWI Memorial! This space is popular (and for good reason!) for wedding party photos. But my goal always is to find those hidden gem locations among the crowds where my couples and their wedding parties can feel like they have the place to themselves. And that’s just what we did! After Stormy & Keegan’s adorable first look, the butterflies were gone and we were able to spend the next hour exploring the memorial just the two of them. Afterwards, their wedding party arrived and we were able to capture some great moments with Stormy & Keegan and their closest friends.
28 Event Space was the venue of choice for Stormy & Keegan’s ceremony and reception. I just adore this space’s exposed ceilings, expansive spaces, and gorgeous lights. They create the most dreamy ambience that makes you feel like you’re enjoying a night under the stars :)
After Stormy & Keegan’s beautiful ceremony, it was time to party! Joe’s Kansas City catered dinner, while Belinda Reynolds provided the desserts. Now here’s a cool detail: Stormy & Keegan didn’t want a traditional cake for their wedding desserts. Instead they worked with Belinda to bring to life various dessert recipes from their families! I just love the way that these two incorporated so many special family traditions into their reception :)
After dinner and dessert, it was time for dancing. And dancing they did! Both Stormy AND Keegan are no strangers to the dance floor. (And don’t you just love a groom that loves to dance?) Both of them led the charge and kept the dance floor full! It was a splendidly fun way to keep the party going long into the night and I just love some of the dance floor moments (especially those later into the night!) that I captured.
Below are some of my favorite moments from Stormy & Keegan’s beautiful winter wedding! I couldn’t have asked for a better day with these two and their families!
Congratulations to Stormy & Keegan!
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this spectacular day!
And a huge thanks to the team that helped make this day magical!
